34 Week MFM Update – 04.05.11

Today we had an appointment with the MFM specialist to check all of Molly's anatomy. All her anatomy measurements were good, placenta location and attachment was good, umbilical cord flow was good, amount of amniotic fluid was good ... all wonderful! Based on her head circumference and abdominal circumference she is measuring appx 5 pounds exactly (plus or minus 10%). We were able to see her face in 4D, but still didn't get a great picture. She had her hands on the side of her face. She was moving all around and my sister, Lauren, said that Molly has lots of hair. Dr. Kirshon said that there was ossification in the bones, which is good and is a sign of bone maturity and lung maturity. Dr. Kirshon said based on Molly's measurements we can definitely induce 2 weeks early so I will let my OB know tomorrow. Hopefully we can schedule a date tomorrow instead of waiting for my appointment next week. We are scheduled to do another Level 2 scan and a Non-Stress Test in 2 weeks.
